STUDIO THE BLUE BOYだけの特別なバーガンディ染色い草を用いたTatami Insertと、 京都で製作されるニュージーランドウール100%のロングパイルラグを組み合わせたセットです。 畳は一般的な緑色ではなく、九州産い草を泥染めした後にバーガンディ色へ染色した特別仕様。 光の角度によって色の見え方が変化し、柔らかなウールラグとの質感の対比が空間に新しい表情をもたらします。

How to Use
ラグ中央のコットン地の上に畳を置いてご使用ください。 畳とラグ、それぞれ異なる質感が重なり合うことで、床の上に新しいレイヤーとコントラストが生まれます。
Care & Notes
- ・畳のお手入れは基本のTatami Insertと同様です。
- ・い草は天然素材のため、色味や風合いに個体差があります。
- ・稀にい草の先端が飛び出す「い切れ」が見られる場合がありますが、不良ではありません。
- ・表面に染土が残る場合がありますが、畳製作工程上避けられない特性です。
- ・液体をこぼした際はすぐに拭き取り、しっかり乾燥させてください。色の濃い液体は色むらが残る場合があります。
- ・ラグはご使用開始後2〜3ヶ月ほど、ウールの毛が定着するまで抜け糸が目立つ場合があります。週1回程度の掃除機がけをおすすめします。

A set combining our signature Tatami Insert in custom-dyed burgundy igusa with a long-pile rug made in Kyoto from 100% New Zealand wool. The tatami is crafted from Kyushu-grown igusa that has been mud-dyed and then custom dyed into a deep burgundy tone exclusively for STUDIO THE BLUE BOY. Depending on the angle of light, the surface shifts subtly in tone, creating a rich contrast against the softness of the wool rug.

How to Use
Place the Tatami Insert on top of the cotton center panel of the rug. The contrast between the tatami surface and the long-pile wool creates a new layered expression for the floor.
Care & Notes
- • Care for the tatami in the same way as the Tatami Insert.
- • As igusa is a natural material, slight variations in color and texture may occur.
- • Occasionally, small pieces of igusa may protrude from the weave. This is called “igire” and is a natural characteristic, not a defect.
- • Some dye clay residue may remain on the surface as part of the traditional tatami-making process.
- • If liquid is spilled, wipe immediately and dry thoroughly. Dark-colored liquids may leave some uneven staining.
- • During the first 2–3 months of use, the wool pile may shed more noticeably as the fibers settle. Vacuuming once a week is recommended.
