Unveiled at STUDIO THE BLUE BOY’s very first exhibition in 2020, the Light Box Rug – Green Flash has become a signature piece of the collection.
Within its undulating box forms lies the fleeting natural wonder known as the Green Flash—a rare phenomenon where a vivid green light appears just as the sun rises or sets.
This ephemeral yet striking spectacle is abstractly translated into form and layered color.
Crafted from 100% New Zealand wool, the rug combines intricate cut and weave techniques to achieve a dense gradient within the box motif.
The interplay of light and shadow produces a three-dimensional depth that shifts with natural light throughout the day, echoing the transience of a moment captured in time.
Whether placed in a living room, bedroom, or a gallery-like minimal space, the rug brings a refined statement that enhances modern interiors with quiet intensity.

並々と連なるボックスの中に封じ込められたのは、太陽が昇る直前や沈む直後に一瞬だけ現れる奇跡の光「グリーンフラッシュ」。
その儚くも鮮烈な自然現象を、抽象的なフォルムと濃淡のある色彩で表現しました。
100% ニュージーランドウールを贅沢に使用し、カットと織りを繊細に組み合わせることで、ボックスの中に浮かぶ高密度なグラデーションを実現。
立体感と奥行きのある陰影は、光の当たり方によって異なる表情を生み出し、時間の移ろいとともに変化する「一瞬」を住空間に映し出します。
リビングルームやベッドルームはもちろん、ギャラリーのような白い壁面の空間にも映える存在感。
