Mediterranean Mirage is a limited edition of STUDIO THE BLUE BOY’s Wavy Split Leather Placemats, reimagined in four seasonal colors inspired by the bright blues of the sea, sun-warmed earth, olive trees, and the dry heat of summer.

Crafted from four vibrant split leather colors, these placemats are inspired by STUDIO THE BLUE BOY’s signature Wavy Rug design. The stitching expresses motifs such as kare-sansui, folding fans, and the rising sun, bringing a quiet Japanese rhythm into a colorful summer table setting.

The back is finished with a polyester suede-like fabric that provides a non-slip grip. Even if food or drinks spill, the surface can be wiped clean quickly, making them practical for everyday dining as well as special summer gatherings.

The side name tag also allows you to hang them easily for compact storage. A smart and practical leather placemat designed for the table, offered as a set of four.

Due to the nature of the material, each piece may have slight individual differences in color tone, texture, and finish.

Care Instructions

Wipe with a well-wrung cloth after use.

If curry, sauce, or staining liquids touch the surface, wipe immediately.

Do not leave the product on wet surfaces for long periods.

Do not place hot pots or pans directly on the mat.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Customs Duties, VAT & Import Taxes

All international orders are shipped on a DDU / DAP basis. Customs duties, VAT, and import taxes are determined by the laws of the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer.

United States: Most goods shipped from Japan to the United States are duty-free under current trade regulations. However, state taxes or customs processing fees may still apply depending on your location.

European Union / United Kingdom: Shipments to the EU or UK may be subject to VAT and other import fees. These charges vary based on the regulations of each country.

Other Countries: Customs duties, VAT, and import fees are determined by local customs authorities and must be paid by the recipient.

If customs fees are not paid and a shipment is returned to Japan, the refund will be issued minus a fee equal to twice the original shipping cost to cover outbound and return freight charges.
