Godama Cushion reinterprets the long-standing Japanese way of living close to the floor for contemporary life.
Created in collaboration with EUCAS, a sofa manufacturer based in Kurume, Fukuoka, Godama is a compact cushion sofa designed to be an easy and familiar presence in everyday life.
Living close to the floor has long been part of Japanese culture. Godama was created for this way of living — something to lean against while sitting on the floor, with a presence somewhere between a traditional floor cushion and a low chair. Compact and easy to move, it can be freely repositioned depending on how and where you want to sit, rest, or relax. It can also be used as a stool or a small side table.
The upholstery uses NC, a long-running textile by Japanese upholstery specialist Ribaco. First introduced in 1986, NC was developed to combine durability with a richer approach to color and texture. Its basket weave blends differently colored yarns to create subtle depth, while its acrylic and wool composition gives the fabric a soft, substantial feel suited to everyday furniture.

This item is made to order. Please allow approximately 4 weeks for production and delivery.
Care Instructions
The cover is removable. Due to the wool-blend fabric, it cannot be washed with water. Dry cleaning is possible.
For everyday care, use a vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust from the surface, weave, and crevices.
For stains, dilute a neutral detergent to approximately 3–5% in lukewarm water. Lightly wring out a soft cloth and gently dab the affected area. Wipe again with a cloth dampened with clean water and allow to air dry completely.
Important Notes
Please note that the design of the “STUDIO THE BLUE BOY” name tag used on the final production item differs from the one shown in the product images.
Due to the characteristics of the materials and manufacturing process, slight variations in color, texture, shape, and dimensions may occur between individual pieces. The upholstery fabric has some natural flexibility, which may also result in slight differences in finished dimensions.
When used in the same position for an extended period, particularly on certain flooring materials such as vinyl flooring or waxed wooden floors, color transfer from the underside of the product may occur. Please check the condition of the floor periodically and reposition the cushion when necessary.
Please do not jump, stand, or apply excessive impact to the product, as this may cause damage or injury.
The product may appear slightly compressed or misshapen due to transportation or storage. After unpacking, leave it for a period of time and it will gradually return to its original shape.

日本に古くからある床での過ごし方を、今の暮らしに合わせて捉え直した「Godama Cushion（ゴダマ・クッション）」。
福岡・久留米のソファメーカー EUCASと共同で製作した、クッションソファです。
床に近いところで過ごすことは、昔から日本の暮らしの一部でした。床に座りながら自然にもたれかかれるものとして、座布団のようでもあり、座椅子のようでもある、ちょうど良い存在を目指して生まれたのがGodama Cushionです。コンパクトで気軽に動かすことができ、座る、もたれる、寝転ぶといったその時々の過ごし方に合わせて、自由に居場所をつくることができます。また、サイドテーブルやスツールとしてもお使いいただけます。
張地には、日本の椅子張地メーカー・リバコ社のロングセラー「NC」を使用。1986年の発売以来、長く家具づくりの現場で使われ続けている生地です。経糸と緯糸を組み合わせた「ななこ織」によって単色では出せない奥行きのある表情をつくり、アクリル70％・ウール30％の糸が、耐久性と柔らかな質感を両立。日常の中で長く使う家具のために選んだ張地です。

受注生産について
本商品は受注生産品です。ご注文から納品まで、約4週間ほどお時間をいただきます。
お手入れについて
カバーは取り外しが可能です。ウール混の生地のため、水洗いはできません。ドライクリーニングが可能です。
日常のお手入れは、掃除機で表面や織り目、隙間に入ったほこりをやさしく吸い取ってください。
汚れた場合は、中性洗剤を3〜5％程度に薄めたぬるま湯に柔らかい布を浸し、軽く絞ってから表面をたたくように拭き取ってください。その後、水を含ませて固く絞った布で洗剤を拭き取り、十分に自然乾燥させてください。

※商品画像に使用しているサンプルと、量産品では「STUDIO THE BLUE BOY」のネームタグのデザインが異なります。あらかじめご了承ください。
素材および製造工程の特性上、色味、風合い、形状、仕上がりサイズなどに若干の個体差が生じる場合があります。また、張地には伸縮性があるため、製品ごとに寸法が多少異なる場合があります。
長時間同じ場所でご使用になる場合や、塩化ビニル系の床材、ワックス掛けされたフローリングなど床材の種類によっては、製品裏面から色移りする場合があります。定期的に床面の状態をご確認いただき、必要に応じて設置位置を変えてご使用ください。
商品の上で跳ねたり、立ち上がったり、強い衝撃を加える行為はお控えください。製品の破損や怪我の原因となる場合があります。
配送中や保管中の状態により、開梱直後は一時的に圧縮や変形が見られる場合があります。開梱後しばらく置いていただくことで、徐々に本来の形状に戻ります。
