This is called “igire” and is a natural characteristic, not a defect.\u003c\/li\u003e\n        \u003cli\u003e• Some dye clay residue may remain on the surface as part of the traditional tatami-making process.\u003c\/li\u003e\n        \u003cli\u003e• If liquid is spilled, wipe immediately and dry thoroughly.
